Developing Student Leaders who Understand and Embrace Diversity
The Multicultural Leadership Center (MLC) addresses issues related but not limited to: race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender, ability, and class. Services are provided through three primary areas: 1) Programming; 2) Leadership and Diversity Training; 3) Resources.
The MLC supports our culturally diverse student body by preparing students to become leaders who are self-aware, culturally competent, civically engaged, and critical thinkers.
Cultural Commencement Ceremonies
Each year, the University hosts cultural commencement ceremonies. These events complement the University commencement by adding a unique multicultural dimension that celebrates our diverse student population and honors our graduates and their families. Leadership for these ceremonies is provided by faculty and staff associations, student leaders, clubs and organizations and cultural resource centers. All graduating students are welcome to participate.
