Pi Sigma Epsilon Holiday Food Drive

California State University Fullerton has recently become home for a new chapter of the Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) co-ed professional business fraternal organization. PSE is the only national, professional organization in the United States that helps students develop careers in sales and marketing. Initially developed in 1952 at Georgia State University, PSE is currently headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
As a leading fraternal organization at many top colleges and universities throughout the U.S., PSE focuses on being a highly qualified professional student organization that promotes the study of marketing and sales. It also encourages colleges and universities to establish suitable courses that prepare students for these careers, while encouraging improved teaching methods and techniques and promoting the highest possible ethical standards for its members.
In addition to these goals, PSE is committed to hosting events that benefit members of our surrounding community. To this regard, PSE has been working hard to conduct a food drive that will aid families in our local community who need support, especially during this year’s challenging holiday season. Thanks to the outstanding generosity of administration, faculty and staff at the Mihaylo College of Business & Economics, PSE has reached this year’s goal of raising sufficient food to donate to the Good Samaritan Center in Fullerton to feed 10 families for an entire month.
In addition to PSE’s professional and academic guiding standards, they are also dedicated to becoming an ever more important part of our community by holding regular benevolent events.

Marketing Honors Networking Breakfast, Friday, November 4
The Marketing Honors Networking Program
The Marketing Honors Networking Program creates networking opportunities between high-achieving Cal State Fullerton marketing students and top Orange and Los Angeles County businesses which lead to careers, part-time jobs, internships, and mentorships. Kohl’s Department Stores was the title sponsor for the Marketing Honors Networking Breakfast.
Courtney Graf, University Relations Manager for Kohl’s, describes the relationship between the Marketing Honors Program and Kohl’s:
“The Marketing Honors Networking Program is an excellent source to find talented students to fit any employer’s needs. The students we’ve interacted with from the program possess broad skill sets which make them a fit for many different industries, as well as the professional behavior and leadership experience employers hope to find in a quality candidate. On average, Kohl’s hires 3-5 students into either our Internship or Manager in Training program annually from the Marketing Honors Networking breakfast. The breakfast is also a great avenue to network with other employers in the area. Due to our recruiting success at this specific event, we proposed sponsorship for the Fall 2010 breakfast. As the title sponsor, we were able to bring in additional collateral, host multiple Kohl’s attendees, and most importantly have one of our Senior Executives address the group regarding the importance of selecting the right career. We are big supporters of the honors program, and appreciate the efforts that go into making events like the networking breakfast a success for both students and employers.”
