Mihaylo’s Executive Council has selected Amber Jeanseau ’15, a marketing honors undergraduate, as the 2015 Outstanding Student and Mihaylo Management Professor Shaun Pichler as the 2015 Distinguished Faculty.
For the past year, Amber Jeanseau ’15 has been president of Mihaylo’s Business Honors Program, which provides high-potential business students with opportunities for challenging academics, classroom and extracurricular activities and individualized career mentoring. An honors student herself, Jeanseau is graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor‘s degree in business administration – marketing. She was named the 2015 Outstanding Student by Mihaylo’s Executive Council on May 13. The award recognizes one outstanding business student each year for academic achievement, university or community service and career strategy.
Mihaylo Associate Management Professor Shaun Pichler is the recipient of the council’s annual Distinguished Faculty award. The Michigan State University alumnus teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in human resources and organizational behavior. His research, which focuses on workplace diversity and inclusion, employee appraisal, career/family concerns and international human resources, has appeared in numerous journals since he joined the college faculty in 2009. Pichler was nominated for the award based on teaching performance, research and creative activity and service to the university and community.
The Mihaylo Executive Council provides financial support and professional advising for Mihaylo College. Comprised of professionals from throughout Southern California, the council increases the visibility of the college, provides scholarships, mentors business students and financially supports the Mihaylo Tutoring Center.
