In the heat of a real-world sales-pitch scenario, Mihaylo team members took home eight of the 24 awards at the Western States Collegiate Sales Competition. The team was required to prepare a sales presentation representing their “clients,” ADP and TekSystems services, in a 12-minute role-play environment.
Competing against 12 other university teams, Mihaylo’s winning pitches placed second overall. Mihaylo’s team included business administration majors Zeina Itani, David Ludden, Shastina Sarkhosh and Ian Thomason.
“We all worked very hard, and it felt great for that hard work to pay off,” says Itani, who also placed second in individual competition. “We all helped each other, and through our teamwork we were able do well in the competition.”
