Ido Aharoni, head of Israel’s brand management team, discussed the importance of branding and showed a rare connection between politics and business through his own experiences as a global diplomat.
A New York resident, Aharoni is only visiting selected universities on the west coast, including Cal State Fullerton, San Diego State University, and UCLA.
Aside from speaking in a Mihaylo classroom, Aharoni also spoke in the TSU where everyone was welcomed to listen and ask questions. The TSU event was hosted by the Hillel Organization, which is the only Jewish organization on campus that celebrates and explores Jewish identity and works to provoke “a renaissance of Jewish life.”
Eric Don, business administration ’13, is the president of Hillel and said Aharoni has “terrific experience and business knowledge that (is) an asset to our business school and students in it.”
Aharoni has also had an active career in news production. He has produced several independent films in both Israel and the United States.
Aharoni enjoyed his time on campus and said, “It’s been an extremely inspiring and uplifting experience because of the level of knowledge and interesting questions.”
