The Business Honors Program’s annual kickoff event is just around the corner. The theme of the event is ‘Creativity, Imagination, and Innovation’ and will be filled with fun and inspiring workshops and activities for everyone to enjoy. At the kickoff, you will meet your new classmates, current business students, and your future faculty. It is a great way to practice your networking skills and to get a jumpstart towards a great year! The event is on Thursday August 23, from 8am to 1:30pm in the O’Brien Center-SGMH 3230.
Monday August 27, 2012, isn’t just the first day of classes, but the Mihaylo Career Services will be having an open house as well. The open house will be from 10 am to 4:30 pm and it is a two week event; it will begin Monday the 27th and go through Thursday the 30th. It will then resume the following week on September 4-6. The open house is designed for students to find out what career development resources are available to them. There will be games and prizes awarded and also a resume opportunity drawing. The last two day of the open house will be the official launch of the center and will be celebrated with an ice cream social. Stop by SGMH 1409 for free ice cream and to meet the team!
If you are interested in studying abroad, on August 31 from 2pm to 4pm there will be an information session where you can learn more about the abroad program. The topics of discussion will include going over the syllabus, previous experiences, the registration process, the cost of the program, and the scholarships available. The session will be held in SGMH-2301 and snacks will be available.
