It’s been less than a month since the formerly known Family Business Council changed its name, and it continues to uphold its excellence amongst Mihaylo’s 14 Centers of Excellence.
As of July 24, 2012, the council officially changed its name to the Center for Family Business. The Center provides monthly workshops, and allows members access to educational resources as well as networking opportunities with local family business leaders who share similar interests. Each year, the Center for Family Business offers nine workshops, confidential discussion groups, and informative, entertaining events.
“With more than one million family-owned businesses driving the economy in the state of California, the need for an educational resource to enable family entities to grow and prosper has never been greater,” said Center for Family Business Director Ed Hart.
The Center for Family Business has been serving southern California family-owned businesses since 1995 and focuses on the needs and concerns within the community while providing a selection of services. Members are given the opportunity to learn from experts in an academic environment.
Mihaylo College is recognized as the largest accredited business school on the West Coast and their 14 Centers of Excellence focus on specific areas of study. Each Center is recognized as an essential part of the business school’s functional approach towards education.
