Business Madness 2012 Kicks Off With Opening Ceremony

Tuesday marked the kickoff of Business Madness, two weeks of informative sessions and networking opportunities for students of Mihaylo College of Business and Economics.

The Business Madness Opening Ceremony, new this year, was presented by the Business Inter-Club Council (BICC), took place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Mihaylo Hall courtyard. It included entertainment, food and networking opportunities.

Various clubs including the Society for Advancement of Management, Business Honors Society and Real Estate Association stepped out to participate and promote the coming events sponsored by their clubs.

“It’s all about student development, student leadership,” said Emeline Yong, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. Yong, who advises the BICC, said most of the Mihaylo students behind the booths volunteered their time.

“They see the value of networking through these types of events, and they see the value of working together as groups,” said Yong.

    On a similar note,, When you own a business, you have to let everybody know about its existence. You don’t just open your door without proper advertising of what you have to offer. You have to make the right choice when it comes to attracting customers and future clients. By showing off your business in a way that would stand out is the key to success. Money is always an issue when it comes to business. A good promotion would be most helpful. And an aggressive marketing strategy is what you should be learning to get.
